Words can’t describe how excited I am to be running for Common Council. The Common Council needs more community input in the decision making process. The city is facing several important issues, and I want to be an alder you hear in meetings fighting for what matters most to you.
I would like to see a priority put on expanding affordable housing; the waiting list is just too long. I want to make the development process as transparent as possible. Our system might be better than most, but it still needs improvement. I don't want to drag the process out, but rather ensure that community input is what drives the conversation on development.
I'll also prioritize being more visible and being more accessible. I want to know what you're thinking about the issues, and as your representative, that will be what drives my vote. City issues aren't widely publicized or covered in the media, so I believe it is an alder's responsibility to inform the community of what's happening. I am passionate about making sure our neighborhood and community input is priority number one in how we move forward as a city.
I encourage you to explore my website to find the information you need. I hope I can count on your support in the February 17th Primary Election and the April 7th General Election.
